Place to live in New York.
Well, not really in New York to be true.
MadMama continues to explore best places to live with kids in New York. Well, this time we went across the river. The Hudson river.
The gorgeous and marvelous Garden State of New Jersey and Jersey City particularly have a lot to offer. Lot more than you can imagine.
It’s closer than you think.
15 minutes trip on the Path train and you are enjoying Jersey City. Unlike those 30 minutes (minimum) it takes to get to Brooklyn.
Sensible budget friendly.
It’s definitely cheaper than Manhattan and seriously more affordable than Dumbo, Park Slope and other funky neighborhoods in our beloved Brooklyn. And you get incredible neighbors. Do you remember how all those cool neighborhoods in Brooklyn started to develop? Before the prices were jacked up. This is how Jersey City looks now. Packed with young and talented.
Definitely kids friendly.
Sensory gyms, awesome private kindergartens and montessori school! Incredible playgrounds! I fell in love with this city. And the prices are lower, much lower.
All those amusing cafes and restaurants are so inviting. I had coffee and croissant like 3 time on my way to the esplanade. Which has probably one of the best NYC skyline views.
