I’ve been a little carried away by a search of perfect learning apps. Particularly math apps. I’ve already shared some results lately.
Here is one more awesome must have app for parents.
It’s simple and colorful enough to entertain a child without overwhelming. It has 2 modes. Runner mode and challenge mode.
Runner mode is more engaging and active. Zyro robot (the main character) runs through the city collecting and counting stars. Complementary to math skills this mode test reflexes and response rate. It reminds me of Super Sonic! In a good way of course. Had some nostalgic memories, while was testing it.
In challenge mode you got to solve questions and earn points. This one is my fav. I guess I just never had a chance to develop my reaction rate.
Both modes develop some basic math skills.
What makes this game so special?
It can be adjusted to your kid’s need. Basing on your kid’s motor and cognitive skills level you can choose a different mode (beginning, advanced and expert). And even graphics and music can be graded to make this game suitable for sensory sensitive kids. App is linked to math standards so it can be used to reinforce Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals.
It has a special parent zone, where you can monitor performance, control modes and set goals.
Kids with special needs.
This game is one among few, that provide a possibility to learn for kids with special needs.
– Switch-accessible for children with motor limitations who use an external switch (connected through a Bluetooth switch interface such as TabAccess or Zumo)
– Customizable settings, such as the ability to remove obstacles or reduce game speed, to increase access for children of all skill levels and abilities.
It’s still in the test mode. But don’t worry!
It’s going to be available to download on iStore since August 17!
