Sweater Weather

Here in New York it is c o l d – there is no denying it people!!!

Luckily for us .. whether it be early in the morning, late at night, on our phones, at work (just kidding, but not really), snowed in, or literally anywherewe have the internet!

And having the internet means online shopping. And online shopping means happiness, obviously. Even if it is just a temporary high, it gets the job done and you feel instant satisfaction (at least I always do) ;P

So I always used to think sweaters were super boring BUT recently while browsing the internet I found quite the contrary.

These 2 sweaters from Saks.com below are anything but boring. I would pair the first Ella Moss sweater with black skinny jeans or leggings and white plain sneakers like Converse, and the 2nd Rebecca Minkoff sweater with boyfriend jeans and heels.

From Nordstrom.com I found these amazing maternity sweaters. The first Pietro Brunelli sweater looks like a wrap and a top but it is actually one piece. I would pair this with black leggings and sneakers. (I feel like this goes without saying but just to clarify chic sneakers, some Converse are chic, Keds are chic, anything bulky and like a full on running shoe doesn’t qualify as chic.) I would pair the 2nd Rosie Pope sweater with jeans and heels.

Honestly, I feel like as with anything, it is all about how you wear the garment and how you carry yourself. If you are uncomfortable you are going to look it. If you mismatch but can pull it off, good for you, you are not going to look terrible.

The same goes for sweaters. Find what looks good and think of how you are going to wear it and what you are going to pair it with.

Especially after the holidays literally every website that ever existed is having a huge sale and there are tons of sweaters for the taking!!! And they are not boring!

Remember to go for fit and what you feel comfortable in and you will look and feel your best.
