Spring Fashion Fast Forward

Okay so I know we are basically in the dead of winter here BUT I can’t help myself from thinking about spring fashion already! I mean all the stores pushing their little dresses and rompers don’t exactly help either, but whatever …

Spring fashion should be easy, light, and fun. I find that it is not necessarily as structured as winter fashion, but then again of course there are times when an incredible peplum dress with asymmetrical lines and a strategically placed ruffle are needed.

So my inspiration for this article are the light, flowy, and fresh wheat fields that you would find on a beautiful prairie somewhere out west. See what I mean below …

These Rachel Pally dresses are to die for. I want them and I’m not even pregnant.

With this first dress the model is wearing darker makeup, but I would suggest wearing nude makeup- nude eyes, nude lips (lots of gloss), and a little peachy blush or bronzer.

For this second dress, I would do the same nude makeup I would for the first look, and maybe add the element of a bolder lip (with gloss).

And you know I love a chic denim moment. The model here is styled so perfectly for springtime weather with a white top under her denim shirt and a tie knot at the bottom ends. So effortless looking.

And seriously this cashmere cape is everything. Cashmere is still necessary for that spring chill. And of course this is easy to take on and off.

A simple, yet elegant, white flowy dress is always an essential. Pair with heels or chic sandals for the perfect combo. This look can be worn frolicking around the city or for a hot date night.

Dresses will be your best friend in the spring because let’s face it, you don’t have to worry about choosing a bottom. Also, you should own many shawls/scarves and throw them on over virtually any dress for when you need your shoulders covered.

Now that I am done drooling over spring clothes I have to face the reality of this nor’easter that NYC is experiencing!
