Raw chocolate matcha truffles

This is an absolute delight. And it’s sugar free, nut free, gluten free and sin free. As we all like it.
I first discovered matcha when they started to do that green tea latte in starbucks. But hey, don’t rush buying it if you still haven’t tried it. They add sugar to matcha powder. The bad kind of sugar. If you don’t know where to find it, try Amazon. That’s what I did)

It doesn’t have to be sweet. It’s a bit bitter! But that’s the point. It’s absolutely refreshing and delicious.
You can add it to smoothies, cakes or just make the right kind of green tea latte.

But today, we are going to try something so good, it’s hard to believe it’s healthy.

You will need:

– 1/2 cup of cocoa butter
– 1/4 cup cocoa powder or
– 1 1/2 cup dates
– 2 tablespoons matcha

Directions:

Soak dates in hot water for 10 min. Melt cocoa butter until soft (don’t heat directly or boil). Mix dates, cocoa butter and cocoa in food processor until smooth paste. Quickly form little balls. Powder balls with matcha. Put in the freezer for at least 20 minutes before serving.
