How to cook the real Italian pesto
Did I mention that Italian food is perfect? Well, it is!
I’ve been to France and Spain, which have unbelievably tasty cuisine too. But Italy is something out of this world.
All those sauces and dressings… Oh. They are mind-blowing.
To start with pesto. Pesto is a combination of tempting basil and creamy parmigiano. This one will steal your heart.
You will need:
– 2 bunches of basil
– 1 garlic bulb
– 2 oz Parmesan
– 1 cup olive oil
– 1/4 cup pine nuts
Wash and dry basil. Mix all the ingredients in the blender until creamy.
Normally you would have to chop all ingredients by hand. But, I’m a mom too and I understand how busy a mom in a big city can be. So, just make sure you won’t turn your pesto in homogenized paste.
Note: you can add a bit of balsamic vinegar to make the taste more vibrant.
